Salmon & Steelhead Seasons

When the fish are in on the three rivers we guide. Call 360-589-8748 to check open dates for your trip.

Humptulips River

Fall salmon fishing typically opens in the last week of September with a one-fish daily limit. The limit goes up in mid-October, and salmon fishing continues through December. Steelhead season follows, typically running through early February.

Wynoochee River

Fall salmon fishing typically runs from October through December. Winter steelhead typically runs from December into February.

Satsop River

Fall salmon fishing typically runs from October through December. Winter steelhead typically runs from December into February.

These are typical windows, not promises. WDFW sets the exact dates, limits and closures for each river every year, and can change them during the season. Rules on Chinook and wild fish are strict on all three rivers, and most Chinook and all wild steelhead must be released. Call and we'll tell you what's open for the days you're considering.
